Getting started

The TradingView mobile app guide

The phone app shines at "quick glances" and "receiving alerts", completing the loop with desktop and web. The core actions match the computer version — just with touch gestures.

Charts and intervals

Tap the symbol name to search and switch instruments; tap the interval button for 1-minute up to monthly. Pinch to zoom, drag to pan. Rotate to landscape for a wider view — handy when hunting support and resistance.

Indicators and drawings

Tap the indicators icon to add RSI, MACD and more. Long-press the chart to enter drawing mode for trend lines and horizontals. Anything you draw on the phone syncs back to desktop.

Alerts — the killer mobile feature

Long-press a price or an indicator to create an alert. When it fires, you get a push notification even with the app closed — perfect for guarding key levels without staring at screens.

Key takeaways
  • Mobile = quick looks + push alerts, in sync with desktop/web.
  • Gestures: pinch to zoom, drag to pan, long-press to draw.
  • Push notifications are the most valuable mobile capability.
